BRAC Uganda invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill up the following vacant positions:

Job title: Software Engineer (Position 01, Males/female

Duty Station: BRAC Uganda Country Office-Kampala.

Principle Duties/Responsibilities:

    Developing and maintaining different types of in-house software such as Health, Microfinance, and Human Resource Systems.
    Coordinating with field level IT officers for efficient performance.
    Maintaining and developing overall IT Infrastructures of more than 200 offices located in different districts of Uganda.
    Generating on-demand information and reports for all departments.
    Automating new Branch Offices.
    Generating different types of financial reports (i.e. Trend report, Trial balance, Balance sheet, Income statements, etc, for monthly submission to Accounts department and BRAC Head Office at large.
    Perform any other IT related assignments.
    Will be reportable to the Senior Manager IT BRAC International.

Requirement:

    Bachelor degree in computer science/Engineering/IT from a recognized institution.
    Knowledge of visual Fox Pro 5.0/7.0 language and SQL script writing is a must.
    Knowledge of ASP. NET, C#.net is also desired.
    Sound knowledge on the basic accounting reports and transactions. I.e. Trial balance, Balance sheet, Income statement, Journal voucher.
    Experience in developing Financial Software is also required.
    And must have experience of four (04) years proven work in software Department with a busy reputable NGO/Government sectors
