Accountant Job Vacancy at Inspectorate of Government in Uganda

Job Title: Accountant  (1 Vacancy)
Reports To: Senior Accountant
Responsible for: Accounts Assistants
Role: To compile budget estimates, verifying and preparing payments including
salaries, controlling vote records and imprests, reconciling, posting and
maintaining books of Accounts and supervising revenue collection.
Person Specifications:
a) Minimum Qualifications, Competences and Experience:
 At least an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting or
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) or Bachelor of Business
Administration/Studies (Accounting option) from a recognised
University/Institution.
 Full Member of ICPAU or similar professional body, recognised by ICPAU.
 Must be Computer Literate and shall be required to show proof.
 Post Graduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
 Applicants should have at least three (3) year’s working experience in
Government or equivalent level of working experience from a reputable
organisation.
 High level of integrity.
b. Age limit 25 – 35 years of age.
