Job Title: Programme officer, Northern Uganda
Reports to: Voice and Accountability Component Manager
Work Center: Kampala

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide context analysis in  particular relating to the evolving situation in Northern Uganda
• play a lead role in the planning and implementation of DGF's strategy for strengthening community monitoring and download accountability in relation to PRDP 2
• Provide up-to-date information and insights for /DGF management on the prevailing governance environment in Northern Uganda
• Establish and participate in relevant working groups
• Help to identify technical advisors and plan technical assistance to partners

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• A Masters Degree in a subject relevant to the position from a recognized University
• Additional qualifications in project management & Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies and political science are an advantage

Competencies and Experience:

• Good knowledge of current development challenges and political developments in Uganda
• At least 5 years of program management experience, preferably related to civil society support, local government development
