Our Client Roofings Rolling Mills is a leading steel manufacturer in East Africa that is seeking to recruit a result driven and motivated individual for the vacancy above;
Reports to: Group Executive body
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the profit realization of Roofings Rolling Mills.
Explore existing local and export markets to increase market share with optimum realizations in consultation with directors.
Responsible for organization of sales department and its functioning.
Controlling debtors list and follow up of overdue payment.
Corporate representation in government regulatory authorities and ministries exchanging correspondences on any relevant issues and ensuring adequate support from all government departments and service providers. (UIA, UMEME, Rift Valley Railways, Uganda National Bureau of Standards, etc)
Regular follow up and meetings with Uganda Revenue Authority, and other members from our industry on issues relating to level playing field.
To expedite all civil and criminal proceedings against or in favor of Roofings Rolling Mills.
Handling insurance related function, planning for optimum insurance management, and early settlement of claims.
Responsible for allocation of transporters for transporting raw material, consumables, spares and any other cargo destined for Roofings Rolling Mills from Mombasa to Kampala.
Optimum inventory planning and stores control.
Responsible for the Human Resource Function.
Responsible for smooth and secure functioning of IT department and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system of RRM.
Ensuring adequate security infrastructure within Roofings Rolling Mills.
Responsible for upkeep of machines and safety standards.
Responsible for updating legal requirement for operation ( Nema certificate, trading license, factory registration, NBS permits, ISO certificate and safety certificate, etc)
Any other tasks as may be assigned by Board of Directors.
Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum 5 years senior leadership experience in the service industry.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proven bottom line responsibility and dedication to client satisfaction.
Demonstrated excellence in time management skills, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Experience in a multi-tasked environment with the ability to prioritize and organize work.
Must possess good judgment, reasoning and problem resolution skills.
