Job Title: Data Input Clerk

Location: HUB Laboratory Tororo Reports to: Data Management Officer

Directly Supervises: None

Main Purpose of the Job:

    To collect, sort, code, keyboard entry, and secure storage of data forms processed at Tororo laboratory HUB.

Key Outputs

    Collect and code project data
    Project data entered
    Completeness and accuracy of data verified

Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Routinely collects a-d checks incoming data forms for completeness and accuracy before data entry;
    Routinely runs data editing, reporting and cleaning programs;
    Carry out prompt and accurate data entry of project;
    Conduct data Quality reporting;
    Liaise with various data collection sites for proper records maintenance;
    Provide data to users as required.
    Maintain security and confidentiality of data.

Requirement:

    Diploma in Statistics or Computer Science or their equivalent. A candidate that will exhibit adequate working knowledge of computer (hardware, various software programs, and LAN systems) will have an added advantage.

Additional Training Necessary

    Training in data collection and validation
    Minimum Experience and Exposure
    1 year's previous experience in data entry

Special Knowledge

    Ethical issues in data management
    Computer skills applicable to data management
    Statistical analysis
