Job Title:  Program Officer
University Research  Co., LLC (URC), a US-based  public  health  organization  working in Uganda.
Responsibilities
•    Provide on-going  technical  support  to hospital  service  delivery  teams  for  the  PMTCT  component  of   SUSTAIN  project  , including  increased  male  involvement  and family  planning.
•    Review  PMTCT  monthly  reports  from  supported   hospitals together  with  the   M/E  teams , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
•    Coordinate , organize  and oversee the training /mentorship of  health  care  workers  at project  supported  hospitals, using  National  PMTCT  guidelines and protocols, especially Option B  plus.
•    Participate  in the  Ministry  of Health  PMTCT  technical working  group  activities.

Qualifications
•    A degree in  medicine  (MBChB  or equivalent )  with a relevant  post-gradutae  qualification in Public  Health , Pediatrics and Child Health  , or  Obstetrics/Gynecology preferred .
•    At least three years experience  in implementing  HIV programs in Uganda , preferably in the  area  of PMTCT .  Experience should be  include training  and mentorship of healthcare  providers .
•    Knowledge and practical  skills for  the implementation  of the current policy  guidelines and program practices  in the fields  of PMTCT, Reproductive  Health, HIV  Counselling  and Testing , and Ant-retroviral treatment .
