Job Title: Technical Advisor

  University Research  Co., LLC (URC), a US-based  public  health  organization  working in Uganda.
Responsibilities
•    Conduct a rapid  assessment  of  V/SMMC-     specific hospital  infrastructure , equipment,  staffing, and  training  needs  and develop  and support  implementation of  hospital –specific  action plans  for roll-out of  activities.
•    Coordinate  training  and on-site support for  V/SMMC teams at 18  supported  hospitals
•    Supervise  the  V/SMMC Community Mobilization  Coordinator , ensuring  the efficient  management  of  mobilization  and outreach activities  by each hospital team
•    Set-up  quantity assurance  and  control procedures for SMMC

Qualifications
•    A degree in medicine (MBChB or equivalent  )  from a  recognized  Institution  and  a  post-graduate  qualification in Public  Health  or another  related  field.
•    At least five  years  with HIV  programming  experience  in Uganda. Experience in implementing  V/SMMC activities  is required
•    Registered with  the Uganda Medical  and Dental  Practitioners  Council.
•    Thorough  knowledge  of international  good practices   on  safe medical  male  circumcision preferred.
