Librarian Job Vacancy at Lira District Service Commission in Uganda

Job  Title: Librarian
Lira   District  Service  Commission  is  recruiting  qualified  candidates  for  the vacant position above .
Key Functions
•    Checking  books  in  and out  of the  Library 
•    Looking  after  and  updating electronic  resources
•    Managing  and supervising  staff  in the  Library  Section
•    Helping/guiding  Public  Library  users
•    Keeping  the Library  organized  and tidy
•    Organizing  events and  activities  such as   children’s books  readings
•    Ordering and  displaying  new stock.
Qualifications
•    Applicants  should be  Ugandans holding an  Honors Bachelors  Degree  in Library  and Information  Sciences or  Records  Management   or  related field from a  (majoring in Library /Records / Archives  management ) from a  recognized  University /Institution .

Applications  should be  submitted  on  Public  Service  Commission  Form  No.3 (2008) to the Secretary  ,  District  Service  Commission , P. O. Box 49,  Lira  to  be  received       before  time.
Application  forms can be  obtained  from the  Public Service  Commission  Offices  ,  Ministries ,  District  Service  Commission  Offices  and Local  Government  headquarters. Hand  written  applications  are  also  acceptable .  Applicants  are free  to apply for a  maximum of two  posts .
