Job Purpose

Responsible for providing operational support in Budgeting, Planning & Reporting function of Treasury section-Finance Department. The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day completion of assigned tasks within given time lines. This position is responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer

Applicants must have/be:

    A Qualified Financial Accountant with 2-3 years of Post Qualification Experience
    Two years of experience working in a Telecom Finance Department
    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
    Hands-on experience with accounting software, preferably SUN systems.
    Excellent analytical skills and experience analysis tools
    Demonstrated ability to understand and solve complex financial issues
    Strong understanding of Telecom Financial Processes i.e. GSM, Fixed line, ISP

Duties & Responsibilities:

    Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
    Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
    Prepare financial reports and ensure that the financial reporting deadlines are met.
    To prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
    Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
    Provide support to budget and forecast activities
    Support and monitor taxation issues
    Develop and maintain financial data bases
    Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
