Purpose: The position exists to ensure and supervise the effective implementation of a billing system to provide the organization with accurate and timely information for revenue and debt collection.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Billing Management
a) Ensures timely billing to CAA trade debtors through the SUN Accounting System.
b) Ensures continuous existence of an effective CAA
c) Ensures accuracy in billing in regard to gross turnover and commission's payable by concessionaries.
d) Ensures that all billing is in accordance with the contract that is in place.
e) Ensures effectiveness of the CAA billing process by adequate supervision to ensure that timely (annual/ monthly) billing is done for all credit customers.
f) Ensures accuracy of the bills through accurate inputting and posting.
g) Attends to customer queries, issues on invoicing/services rendered in a timely and accurate manner.
h) Ensures timely and accurate inputting of revenue data for the system to generate correct debtors status. i) Checks on accuracy of data inputting for accurate debtors statement production to avoid delays in debt collection.

2. Preparation of monthly revenue reports
a) Prepares monthly analytical revenue reports, which | include billings summary on all aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue sources.
b) Advices on the monthly revenue billing process to enable forecasting of cash flows for the business.
c) Ensures that timely Output VAT schedules are generated.

3. Maintenance of billing records
a) Maintains and updates an invoice register to ensure accurate information at all times
b) Accurately reconciles invoices with revenue register management and planning purposes

4. Participation in budgeting process.
a) Prepares data input to support CAA budgeting process
b) Ensures timely availability and accuracy of the) 2010.required data for budgeting purposes and development of staff that are dedicated to outstanding performance in the department,

5. Human Resource Management
b) Advises the Finance Manager on the Department's manpower requirements and ensures staff development within the Department. That are dedicated to outstanding performance in the department
c) Advises the Finance Manager on the department‘s manpower requirements and ensures staff development within the department.
d) Implements performance management on staff in the department
e) Quantifies the capability gaps of skills and competencies and recommends implementation of programs to close the capability gap through the Finance Manager.

EDUCATION
* B.Com (Hons) or BBA (Hons) Accounting/Finance option obtained from a recognized University and professional qualification with minimum of certificate stage of ACCA or Level II of CPA (K) or CPA (U).

EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of 4 years experience in accounting work in a large organization of good repute.
* Specific experience in billing and revenue collection is essential.
* Familiarity with Sun accounting software will be an added advantage.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
* Must have working knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and computerized accounting.
* Must be able to manage daily financial transactions.
