Job Title : 1 Examiner of Account
Salary Scale : U5
Reports to : Internal Auditor

Purpose : To appraise activities within a Local Government for the review of accounting, financial and other operations as a basis for protective measures to management

Key Outputs
• Revenue collection and all monies due to the Local Government audited
• Manpower audits conducted embracing all employees of Local Government
• Financial and accounting operation systems reviewed in all departments
• Procurement of goods and services audited to ensure value for money
• Prepayment audits carried out

Key Activities:
• Auditing revenue collection and all monies due to the local government
• Conducting manpower audits embracing all employees of Local government
• Reviewing financial and accounting operation systems in all departments
• Auditing procurement of goods and services to ensure value for money
• Carry out prepayment audits

Person Specification
• ‘A’ level plus a Diploma in financial and accounting
• Must have auditing and communication skills
• Experience in auditing is an advantage
