Company Profile : Airtel a leading telecom is in need of A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (CONTRACT)

Job Description : Responsible to: SALES REGIONAL MANAGER Job Purpose: Work with and support Airtel Uganda distributors and staff to carry out all the activities required to achieve set targets, foster distributor effectiveness and contribute to the growth of Airtel Uganda’s market share and the achievement overall business objectives for the territory. Key Result Areas 1. Develop action plans, route and call plans aimed at achieving set revenue targets in consultation with the Manager. 2. Monitor performance against plans and targets and take remedial action in cases of shortfalls. 3. Co-ordinate the distribution of Zain Uganda products within the territory to ensure continuous availability. 4. Manage the distribution branding and promotion materials to enhance visibility and build consumer/dealer loyalty in the territory. 5. Identify requirements for trade promotions and recommend to the Regional Manager. 6. Gather market information, provide accurate feedback on competitor activities and come up with mitigation suggestions. 7. Generate monthly, quarterly and weekly reports on the sales trends in the territory. 8. Continuously seek out and identify potential retailers. 9. Support the dealer in developing action plans geared towards the achievement of the agreed targets. 10. Motivate, develop and train CSRs, TSEs and dealer staff in the territory 11. Monitor dealers’ purchases and performance against sales targets on a weekly and monthly basis. 12. In instances of shortfalls, establish causes and generate remedial actions including coaching of dealer staff and trade promotions.

Skill Set : You have • Bachelors degree in business, sales, or equivalent training in business or sales management • 2 proven successful years of sales with a combination of direct and indirect (distributors) market approach in the Telecommunications Industry or FMCG environment • Solid knowledge of channel, indirect sales and direct sales • Strong Business awareness • Solid selling and coaching skills • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills • Experience of building and development of channel.
