Job Title: Senior Operations Geologist
Department: Petroleum Engineering Operations and Production
Location: Kampala

Job: Purpose: To supervise the planning and implementation of subsurface geology operations including well planning, data management and reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare well proposals, with technical input to drilling programs and risk assessments – as well as finalizing them for submission.
• Ensure well proposals, other operations and geology reports are submitted in a timely manner to relevant regulatory agencies.
• Provide pore pressure prediction support for well proposals and drilling programs as well as prepare end of well and completions reports.
• Coordinate contract wash up meetings on wire line logging, LWD logging and mud logging.
• Coordinate data transfer requirements to government and other relevant partners.
• Build national team capability by coaching and mentoring to junior operations geology staff as well as participating in their recruitment process.
• Supervise and manage the performance of the Uganda Operations Geology team.

Experience and Education:
• Minimum 10 years experience in Oil and Gas Operations Geology with specific experience in planning and preparation of well proposals, risk assessments and will data management including mud and wire line logging and sampling.
• Degree in Geosciences or related discipline.

Job Title: Traffic Supervisor
Department: Supply Chain Management- LOGISTICS
Location: Kampala

Job Purpose: To manage all contracts for international and domestic personnel logistics including supervision of international and domestic air and land transfers in Kampala and field operations.

Responsibilities:
• Manage contracts for international and domestic aviation, town taxi services and vehicle leasing contracts.
• Set-up and implement initiatives to improve transport safety for personnel movements.
• Provide leadership and direction in terms of streamlining Tullow’s personnel travel policies and ensure these policies are implemented consistently.
• Provide leadership and direction in terms of efficient coordination of international as well as domestic flight arrangements.
• Supervise the travel desk to ensure efficient dispatch and movement of personnel to and from various destinations.
• Ensure that all visitors to the Tullow Uganda office are guided with regards to travel related issues.

Experience and Education
• Any Degree or Higher Diploma with minimum 10 years working experience in a busy travel or aviation environment.
• Experience in managing aviation contracts.
• Working experience in international aviation regulations required
• Experience in handling inland and remote logistics challenges.
• Exposure to oil field operations an added advantage.

Job Title: Senior Drilling Engineer
Department: Engineering/Production.
Location: Kampala

Job Purpose: To translate G&G development concepts into well engineering plans and supervise the execution of these plans. The incumbent will take a lead on all well engineering activities for development projects.

Responsibilities:
• Preparation/supervision of drilling documents like drilling programs,. Procedures, end of well reports etc that accord with Tullow policies, standards, any applicable Government or regulatory authority requirement and recognized standards.
• Manage the Environment, Health and safety (EHS) performance of well operation and compliance with Tullow national and international EH&S standards.
• Performance analysis of Uganda wells and identification of improvement solutions/ conclusions. Participate in risk assessment sessions throughout the well planning process. Support cost engineers in the preparation of cost estimates, budget, detailed AFEs at all levels. Technical verification of invoices related to drilling.
• Provide engineering peer support to the Operations Team. Introduce and implement new technologies/methods and solutions to technical challenges.
• Provide leadership in optimizing well design in drilling testing and completions operations while maintaining a high standard of EHS performance.

Experience and Education:
• Engineering degree or equivalent is required.
• Over 10 years of direct experience in petroleum well engineering operations including well planning, design, construction and well control.
• Knowledge of production, geology and reservoir engineering disciplines is desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of industry best practice associated with drilling, testing, work-over, wire-line and completion operations.
• Experience of well budgeting cost allocation and monitoring. Knowledge of geological and petroleum engineering prorates and well associated requirements.
• Knowledge of well control techniques and advanced casing design.

Job Title: Materials Team Leader
Department: Supply Chain Management – Logistics
Location: Kampala

Job Purpose: To provide leadership in implementation of the in country Material Supply and Management Strategy and to supervise material teams to ensure efficient inventory control and materials dispatch.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and motivate the Uganda materials team to deliver material supply and management strategy.
• Takes lead position in planning, execution and evaluation of the materials management strategy.
• Manage materials team with regards to objectives, personnel evaluation, technical training and general logistics support.
• Manage inventory (including plant spares and drilling inventory_ in compliance with Tullow approved procedures and processes , Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) obligation and industry standards.
• Ensure financial management with regards to budget, cost monitoring and inventory volume reconciliation.
• Report on procurement planning and expediting with regards to materials supports as per operational requirements.

Experience
• Minimum 10 years proven experience in materials team supervision in a busy Oil and Gas Exploration/Production Operation.
• Comprehensive supply chain management experience is required.
• Knowledge and experience of Electronic Materials Management Systems (EMMS) is required.
• Any relevant qualification with specialized training in EMMS, CIPS, etc.

Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Department: Environment Health and Safety (EHS)
Location: Kampala

Job Purpose: Provide leadership in developing and delivery of the in-country EHS and take lead in implementation of Tullow Group EHS standards in all facets of the Uganda Operation.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing an implementing Health and Safety management policies and guidelines across all facets of the business.
• Responsible for instituting EHS management frameworks and guiding protocols such as permits to work, journey management plans, environmental impact assessment protocols, etc.
• Lead, motivate and manage EHS team to plan, execute, monitor and evaluate a fit-for-purpose strategy in line with the business unit and group strategic objectives.
• Manage relationships with external stake holders e.g. PEPD, NEMA, UWA and other government agencies to ensure a cordial working relationship that supports achievement of business objectives.
• Interact with function heads and the leadership team to embed and EHS culture across all facets of the business.
• Deliver nationalization and succession plan in EHS department by coaching, grooming, mentoring and being responsible for staff training and development.

Experience and Education:
• Degree or equivalent in an engineering or earth science discipline. A formal environment or safety qualification is preferred.
• Over 10 years EHS Management experience on a busy exploration and production environment. Lime operations and or experience with a major project team is desirable.
• Remote site experience, particularly in an African operating environment is desirable.

Job title: Facilities Manager
Department: Operations
Location: Kampala and fields.

Job Purpose:
• This is definite term consultancy to set up the facilities management function and streamline processes for provision of related services e.g. accommodation, security, catering. And transport for both Kampala and Field Operations.
• The incumbent will be required to review and make recommendations for improving the full value chain of Kampala and infield personnel logistics.

Responsibilities:
• To develop and implement camp optimization strategies for Tullow Field Operations.
• Oversee camp set (Temporary and permanent) projects.
• To review and make recommendations for improving existing contracts for infield personnel logistics including camp maintenance, catering, security and transport.
• To guide current initiatives for optimization of head office space and monitor implementation of ling term office space solutions.
• To review processes and define standards of service provision for Head office facilities.
• To set up frame works and contracts fro the provision of accommodation for Tullow expatriate personnel to meet required Tullow standards.
• To develop relationships with supplier and vendor companies for facilities related services including leases for building and provision of all relevant ancillary services.
• To mentor and coach all facilities management personnel to ensure efficient implementations of facilities management frameworks.

Experience and Education:
• Any degree or relevant qualification in engineering, business management with specialized training in facilities management.
• A minimum of 10 years supervisory / management experience in facilities/estates management is required.
• Specific experience in setting up remote site temporary and or permanent accommodation facilities for over 1000 members required.
• Experience in setting up, implementation and management of service contracts is required.



Job Title: Finance Manager

Department: Finance

Location : Kampala



Responsibilities/ Key Objectives:

- Develop and implement appropriate accounting and other policies and procedures in support of the business.

- Provide regular and ad hoc management information, business support information and financial advisory services in-country, to the corporate and the development project team.

- Maintain accurate and timely financial records of Tullow Uganda and project operations and assets

- Ensure all Ugandan-related corporate and in-country internal and external financial reporting and filing obligations are met.

- Build relations with Joint Venture counterparts and lead implementation of JV-wide, consitent finance and accounting policies, practices and controls.



Experience and Education:

- Broad range of oil and gas technical finance competences.

- Proven functional and general leadership ability.

- Exposure to complex project management.

- Ability to build and develop a finance organization.

- A qualified accountant with at least 15 years experience, five of which were in a senior financial management position within the international oil exploration and production industry.

Job Title: Environmental Manager

Department: Environment

Location: Kampala



Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

- Formulation and advise on Environmental policy, standards, site procedures and / guidelines necessary for the management as well as production operations.

- Manage environmental management plan/ mitigation component of Environmental Impacts Assessment (EIA) offshore and onshore and ensure compliance with all legislation as well as resulting company commitments from the EIA work.

- Lead the implementations of company environmental management systems (ISO 14001)

- Develop and maintain the environmental budget for EIAs, ongoing environmental operations, rehabilitations, staff training etc.



Experience and Education:

- At least 5 years of field environmental related experience preferably in oil/gas facilities.

Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety Trainer

Department: EHS

Location: Kampala & Field Based



Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

- Assess training needs, develop or recommend appropriate EHS trainings for employees, contractors and sub contractors.

- Execute trainings to an established schedule and within EHS training budgets, as well as manage the oversea trainings that are delivered by an external trainer.

- Carryout post training evaluations to determine value for money.

- Report on attendance, schedules, evaluations to EHS manager and training advisor.

- Keep proper records of the same.



Experiences and Education:

- Professional qualifications in Occupation Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH etc) required.

- A professional qualification in Occupational Health is desirable.

Responsibilities/ Key Objectives.

- Deliver leadership and guidance to operations in the field and ensure that environmental risk is addressed.

- Engage in planning for upcoming operations and implement ESIA requirements.

- Implement ISO14001 in the field operations.

- Ensure project input from the field to ensure adequate operational elements are captured.

- Engage with key contractors on environmental management and ensure delivery of work scopes is aligned to legal and Tullow standards.

- Mentor field environmental Advisors to raise awareness of oil and gas operations and challenges in delivery.



Experience and Education:

- At least 5 years of field environmental related experience in oil/gas operations.

- International Codes of Practice e.g. MARPOL regulations, IMO.

- Waste management practices/disposals.

- Experience of implementation and operation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.

- Operational oil and gas experience including drilling.

- Experience in mentoring of local staff.

- Understanding of oil spill contingency system.

- Clear understanding of key areas of environmental management including biodiversity, climate change and resource management and implementation of practical solutions.

- Preferably degree qualified in Environmental Science or related field.











Job Title: Field Health & Safety Superintendent

Department: Health & Safety

Location: Field based.



Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

- Lead, motivate and manage field EHS advisors to deliver TUOP integrated environment, health and safety management system.

- Provide EH&S technical advice in the development of TUOP integrated EHS /safety management

- System that covers Tullow field employees, field contactors and resolving audit issues in this regard.

- Periodic reporting on EHS activities and EHS performance indicators in TUOP activities.

- Provide EHS functional skills coaching to Field Environment team.



Experience and Education:

- Relevant degree or 20 years experience in oil and gas industry.

- Core level of EHS qualifications such as NEBOSH.

- Instructor level based competency in EHS basic training modules.

- Proven experience of managing EHS in remote EP and production operations.

- Knowledge of identification and control measures of operational risks/hazards in EP sites.
