Job Title: Senior Programme Officers (2): Teaching & Learning: (Sciences & Humanities)

Reports to: Manager (Academic Affairs)

Salary Scale: Makerere University M.5

Role: Ensure compliance with set academic standards, rules, and procedures and offer
technical guidance to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching and
learning in the University.

Required Qualifications: An honours Bachelors degree and a Masters Degree in any relevant field from a recognised Institution/University.

Required Experience: At least 3 (three) years of working experience at Senior Level in Higher Education Institutions or Private or Public sector will be an added advantage.

Key Result Areas:

1. Provide technical support and implement decisions of the University Quality Assurance Committee in line with Council Policies.
2. Develop and implement the Academic Division annual workplans in line with the Quality assurance Policy.
3. Implement and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of teaching and learning in line with Quality Assurance Policy
4. Oversee Programmes and policies that promote quality and academic excellence in the University.

Expected Output

• Provision of timely technical support
• Implementation of University Quality Assurance Committee decisions.
• Annual reports
• Proposals for resource mobilisation developed.
