Job Title: Senior Programme Officer: (Systems Administration)
Reports to: Manager (Support Services)
Salary Scale: Makerere University M.5
Role: Ensuring that different information systems deliver required functions to the user’s efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications: An honours Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in any relevant field from a recognised Institution/University.
Required Experience: At least 3 (three) years working experience at Senior Level in Higher Education Institutions, Private or Public sector will be an added advantage.
Key Result Areas:
1. Identify, specify and implement support systems for various functions and needs in the Directorate.
2. Develop and maintain the inventory of systems across the Directorate
3. Develop and maintain the Publication of Quality Assurance journal of Makerere University
4. Maintain and update the Quality Assurance Website
5. Carry out evaluation and documentation of Quality Assurance Directorate progress
6. Oversee the implementation of E-learning as a module of learning and knowledge delivery
7. Provide technical support and implement decisions of the appropriate sub- committees of Council and Directorate in line with Council policies.
8. Implement Annual Work plans for the Directorate in line with Quality Assurance Policy.
9. Write proposals for resource mobilization for the directorate of Quality Assurance.
Expected Output
1. Provision of timely technical support
2. Implementation of University Quality Assurance Committee decisions.
3. Annual reports
4. Annual work plans implemented on time.
5. Proposals for resource mobilisation developed.
6. Directory inventory of systems developed and maintained
7. Timely submission of reports to the Quality Assurance Directorate’s Website.
