Liaises with: Medical Doctor, Clinical Officer, Project Officers, Project Manager, Project staff.
Job Summary: To provide technical support to Kyangwali Refugee Resettlement Program in theprogramming and implementation of HIV&AIDS responses

Duties & Responsibilities

   1.
      Provide technical support in HIV&AIDS programming and oversee its implementation.
   2.
      Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of HIV&AIDS best practices.
   3.
      Strengthen/expand collaboration, networks and partnerships with other stakeholders within the Program Area.
   4.
      Build project staff capacity in the implementation of HIV prevention, care and support for communities and staff who are infected or affected by HIV & AIDS.
   5.
      Participate in resource mobilization for increased Program’s HIV& AIDS response.
   6.
      Submit monthly reports to the Supervisor.
   7.
      Liaise with other Program staff in the implementation of the project activities.
   8.
      To facilitate orphans and other vulnerable children’s (OVC) vulnerability ranking and assist in the development of strategies for long-term additional interventions for OVC in the program area.
   9.
      Hold dialogue and liaise with Community Based Organizations, Youth groups, schools’ administration, local government officials, and other partner agencies to ensure successful Community teams are established and functional.
  10.
      To plan and execute all trainings for CBOs/Community Care Teams, and target beneficiaries on OVC care and HIV&AIDS issues.
  11.
      To counsel members of child-headed households and other overstretched families in the community and provide life-skills training for youth.
  12.
      To provide overall supervision of the CBOs ensuring that planned activities are accomplished in a timely manner and with budgeted resources.
  13.
      To facilitate the formation of functional anti-depression Post Test Group Therapy teams.
  14.
      To work closely with partners and Local Government to ensure coordinated implementation of all planned awareness creation, sensitization and training activities.
  15.
      Carry out pre-training needs assessment, identification of trainers/facilitation, training logistics and compilation of post training assessment reports. And responsible for community partners’ capacity building.

Required Qualifications and Skills

    *
      The incumbent must hold a minimum of a Diploma in Nursing or Clinical Medicine.
    *
      He/she must have had a minimum of One year’s post qualification experience working on Public Health and HIV&AIDS related projects in a Developmental Organization, preferably, dealing with matters of social planning, child-welfare, project design, implementation and evaluation.
    *
      Persons with deep knowledge and experience in working with OVCs and Community Based Organization.
    *
      Strong networking abilities.
    *
      He/she must be computer competent.
