Post: Information Education and Communication (IEC) Officer (1 Post)

Duty Station: RHU Head Office, Kampala
Reports to:     Project Coordinator

Job Purpose
Primarily to initiate and implement the IEC aspects of the Healthy Action Project for the purpose of reinforcing te advocacy initiatives, and related organizational deliverables.

Core Responsibilities:
1.    Develop a communication plan for the health Action project and help develop and disseminate tailored communication messages.
2.    Build a Virtue collaborative forum for exchanging strategic resources within and between countries.
3.    Document and share lessons learned and exchange effective practice nationally and regionally.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required
•    At least three years proven experience in designing, implementing and monitoring and valuation of IEC/BCC programmes.
•    Skills in audience analysis, segmentation and strategic communication
•    Wide knowledge and practical skills in communicating Reproductive Health is a must, as well as the least three year’s experience

Qualification:
A degree in communication such as mass communication; a master’s degree and additional training in project planning and management will be an added advantage

Additional training
•    Certificate in advocacy, BCC, or IEC will be an added advantage



Post:  Service Provider (1Post)

Duty Station: Lira
Reports to:     Service Provider In-charge

Job Role:
To provide quality Sexual and Reproductive Health Services including maternity or family planning to clients according to ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines.

Core Responsibilities:
•    Sensitize, educate or counsel potential clients on HIV/AIDS including PMTCT and other SRH issues including family planning,
•    Provide appropriate integrated VCT/ HCT, Sexual & Reproductive Health including ART services, to clients at delivery points
•    Offer maternity and family planning services

Experience, Skills and Abilities required:
•    Excellent communication and counseling skills
•    Skill in diagnosing simple client medical & gynaecological conditions
•    At least two years practical skill and experience in reproductive health service delivery is vital

Qualifications
•    Registered midwife (double training will be an added advantage)
•    Knowledge of local language is essential
•    Basic computer skills are desirable


Post: Supervisor Community Resource Person (2 Posts)

Duty Station: Apac and Kanungu
Reports to:     Zonal/Field Coordinator

Job Role:
To supervise and mentor Home/community based Resource Persons to ensure the provision of quality HIV and AIDS plus SRH services to clients according to Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines.

Core Responsibilities:
•    Supervise and mentor community Resource Persons (CORPs), including PHAs and care givers.
•    Participate in Community Mobilization activities; market the service packages offered by the project.
•    Monitor the utilization of commodities and other supplies distributed by CORPs

Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:
•    Good communication and counseling skills
•    Competence to handle reproductive heath issues and youth sexuality
•    Ability and willingness to ride motorcycles

Qualifications
•    Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration
•    Knowledge, practical skills and experience in reproductive health service delivery for at least two years is vital.
•    Training in counseling
•    One should be ready to undertake day-to-day fieldwork.
•    Knowledge of local language is essential
