Job Title: Medical Officer (2 VACANCIES)
Salary Scale: M 6
Responsible to: Director Health Services
Terms: Permanent

MAIN DUTIES
i. To diagnose diseases and prescribe treatment
ii. To review and evaluate patients undergoing treatment.
iii. To participate in continuing medical education activities
iv. To treat and refer patients according to the University guidelines
v. To promote proper public health practices in the local community
vi. To liaise with other institutions and agencies in promoting the health of the community
vii. Supervise, mentor and support subordinate staff in the medical centre
viii. Render counseling and psychosocial support services to patients
ix. To perform other job related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job requirement

PERSON SPECIFICATION
i. A Bachelor's degree in medicine MBCHB.
ii. Should have strong leadership, interpersonal and communicational skills.
iii. Should have three years experience in a recognized hospital or health Centre.
