Job title: Finance Manager

TERMS: 2 years contract, renewable
AGE: 25years - 45 years
REPORTS TO: Director NUYDC
SUPERVISES Accounts Assistant


COMPETENCIES:
• Analytical skills, thoroughness, accuracy and attention to details
• Interpersonal, Communication, Management skills and team work
• Computer skills with high proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

DUTIES:
• Maintains up to date accounting records embracing all programme transactions as per programme estimates
• Checks, codes, and processes payment requests and accountabilities in conformity with Donor Regulations and Government of Uganda Financial and Accounting Regulations.
• Participates in budget preparation, management and controls including the preparation of payment schedules.
• Prepares all centre financial reports and other documentation according to agreed upon guidelines.
• Assists the Director to manage the centre's budget in line with the set policies and guidelines
• Any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.


Job requirement

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• A Ugandan National with an Honours Degree in Commerce, BBA with accounting / Finance Management option, or its equivalent, from a recognized University.
• Professional qualification in accounting like CPA, ACCA of level III or its equivalent from a professional accounting body.
• Should have more than 5 years experience a busy Environment 3 of which should have been served at a Managerial level.
