Job Title: Procurement Officer
SALARY: Attractive
TERMS: 2 years contract, renewable
AGE: 25-45 years
REPORTS TO: Deputy Director Administration

DUTIES:
• Liases with end users and prepares draft procurement plans.
• Verifies and organizes documents relating to procurement
• Verifies procurement and disposal requisitions and organizes related documents of procurement and disposal records.
• Participates in the evaluation of bids as and when assigned
• Compiles procurement requirements and documentations on a timely basis
• Enters authorized transactions on the system for further processing and producing required reports
• Guides suppliers on procurement procedures
• Liaises with accounts section to ensure availability of procurement funds and timely payments.
• Any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job requirement

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• A Ugandan National holding an Honors Bachelor's Degree in Either Procurement and Logistics or Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a recognized University /Institution or related field.
• Post Graduate Training/Qualifications in
Procurement, Logistics or related field is desirable.
• Or full professional qualification in procurement related discipline like Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or International Supplies Management (ISM) from a recognized accredited Examining Institution.
• A minimum experience of 2 years in a reputable organization will be a requirement
