Manager, Internal Audit jOb Vacancy in Uganda at Centenary Bank

Job Title: Manager, Internal Audit
Reports: General Manager Internal Audit (GMA)

Role: Plan, review and co-ordinate execution of Audit assignments in the Bank and identify emerging risks in line with the Audit manual, International Audit Standards, Bank policies and Business Plan.

Key Result Areas:
1. Plan and monitor Audit resource allocation and utilization in line with the Annual Audit Plan.
2. Prepare Board reports for review by Head of Division before submission to the Board in line with set standard
3. Review Audit plans and field work to ensure they are risk based and comply with internal Audit Manual and policies.
4. Supervise the review of monthly and quarterly Bank's returns to Bank of Uganda as per the Bank's policies and procedures
5. Manage staff performance, develop and train staff in line with the policy and audit training needs.
6. Supervise and monitor progress of audit assignments in line with set standards
7. Perform special investigations as may be requested in line with the Bank's policies and procedures


Job requirement

Required competences and experience:
• An Honor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics and other relevant courses from a recognized University
• ACCA/CPA or other professional accounting/auditing qualification
• Post graduate qualifications in banking or management are an added advantage

Required competences and experience:
• At least 5 years experience in the audit of financial institutions with at least 2 years at supervisory level
• Excellent analytical skills
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• High degree of integrity and confidentiality
• Ability to manage several deliverables in a timely and effective manner
• Very good knowledge of Banking Practices
