Job Title: Construction Manager
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Responsible for: Project Engineers, and other Engineering staff
Department: Operations
Section: Construction

Job Purpose:
To lead the Company in the execution of building and civil engineering projects undertaken by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads construction Unit in preparing programs, delivery schedules and reviews budgets for all building and civil engineering projects.
  • Directs and Controls the activities of the construction unit to ensure that every project adheres to stipulated parameters and that planned profit margins are met
  • Lead in the development of production related strategic business units, prepare business cases, contribute to feasibility studies and guide in set up .
  • Responds to architect's and clients queries on projects being undertaken
  • Reviews certificates prepared for payments to sub contractors.
Minimum Qualification:
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in business studies.
  • Management training and/ or exposure
  • Registered Engineer.
Experience:
a minimum of seven (7) years experience in a construction and/ or Civil engineering role with a minimum of 3 years exposure in management, supervising staff with diverse disciplines and negotiation with contractors and clients.
