Principal Treasurer Job Vacancy in Uganda at Hoima District Service commission

Job Title: Principal Treasurer
Department: Finance
Age limit: 28-50 years
Reports to: Town Clerk

Person Specifications:
• An honors Bachelors Degree in Commerce with a bias in Accounting or an equivalent from a recognized institution
• Possession of a postgraduate diploma in finance is an added advantage
• Experience of 6 years in accounting, preferably in public institution is required
• Wide knowledge of public Accounting systems and procedures
• Well- developed and interpersonal and public relations skills

Duties:
• Maintain control of major and subsidiary Accounts
• Supervising the collection of revenue
• Preparing financial budgets for the Urban Council
• Preparing periodic financial statements and reports
• Answering Audit queries where they arise
• Advising council on financial matters
