Job Title: Procurement Officer
Reports to: Provincial Secretariat

Main Purpose:
To perform duties of corporate administration that includes the planning and management of all purchases for office use, handling tenders, managing suppliers

Key Result Areas:
• Prepare the departmental procurement plans in consultation with the respective management team members
• Recommend and keep track of all the insurance policies for the buildings, staff, vehicles, and equipment and ensure that the policies are kept-up-to-date through regular liaison with Church of Uganda’s Insurance broker
• Solicit bids for work, suppliers and services
Knowledge, skills and Experience:
• First degree in any of the following disciplines: Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics Management
• Full or part qualification of Chartered institute of purchasing and supply (CIPS) will be added advantage
• Good computer skills in use of MS Excel, Word and any r elevant accounting package will be added advantage

Additional Attributes:
• High level of integrity with the ability to discern
• Good leadership abilities, self motivated and team player
• A practicing and committed Christian
