PROJECT MANAGER
We are currently seeking a highly creative, organised, efficient and self-motivated Ugandan national to support the management of our projects. Key responsibilities of this position:
Management of projects from beginning to end of project cycle, including:
 Drafting/reviewing contract details  Developing a work plan with deliverables and timeframe which is realistic and monitoring progress throughout the duration of the project, ensuring time frame and deliverables are adhered to  Identifying potential personnel  Managing consultants and ensuring compliance to consultancy contract  Tracking contract (time line, reporting, payments) and deliverables  Project administration  Ensuring all logistics are undertaken efficiently  Providing oversight to Montrose personnel supporting management of the project  Monitoring contractual obligations and ensuring they are all met  Managing project budget  Drafting reports and tracking reporting time frames  Liaison with client  Preparing End of Project report  Preparing end of consultancy review  Analysis of project progress and content and providing feedback for improving projects  Travel, when required, to project locations to undertake management oversight and project review and assessments
Skills and experience
* Must be Ugandan national
* Minimum Masters' Degree in International Development, Public Health, Education or related fields
* Minimum five years' relevant experience in project management or related field
* Overseas/international experience preferred
* Experience in private sector an asset
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent writing skills
* Highly numerate
* Excellent computer skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
* High degree of flexibility and creativity
* Good interâ€personal skills
* Excellent English language skills, knowledge of Spanish and/or French an advantage
* Preference to those already located in Uganda or the region
* Location: Kampala, Uganda with local and international travel
