Reports to: Principal Procurement Officer

Job Purpose: The incumbent will be responsible for perform­ing all procurement activities for the project.

Duties:

* Develop a comprehensive procurement plan in coordination with the various component heads to support the entire Project;
* Management of the procurement process for the Project and ensure it is in line with the PPDA Act and guidelines;
* Ensure timely procurement and sourcing of required goods and services and follow up with third party procurement agents;
* Prepare and submit timely reports on the progress of procurements to the procurement committee and to third party agents;
* Make recommendations to improve on the procurement process.
* Any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirement:

Qualifications and Work Experience:

* A Bachelor’s degree in either Procurement or Logistics Management, Business Administration (Procurement option) Bachelors of Commerce (Procurement option) or its equivalent is a must;
* Professional qualification in Procurement specifically from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies shall be an added advantage.
* At least 3 years procurement experience in a busy and challenging environment;
* Ability to make sound and independent judgments within established policies and procedures;
* Good understanding of the PPDA and Donor Procurement guidelines;
* High level of integrity and negation skills and ability to work effectively with different project departments and project staff members.
