Job Title: MANAGER INTERNAL AUDIT (2 VACANCIES) REF. DSC 15/70/01 SALARY SCALE: UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE KCCA 5 AGE: 30 AND ABOVE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelors Degree in either Commerce) or Business Administration or Business Studies or Finance and Accounting or Accounting or any other course closely related to any of the above plus full Professional Accounting Qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ACIS and CPE from a recognized university/awarding institution.
Possession of a Master’s Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University/institution will be of added advantage.

Applicants should have a minimum of 7 years working experience in audit management three (3) of which should have been gained at Principal level in Government or equivalent level of relevant working experience at middle management level from a reputable organization
He/she should have the following competences:Knowledge of International auditing standards, Computer and specialized audit skills, risk based Audit, Strategic thinking and planning, excellent oral and written communication, management and Supervision, analytical and problem solving competences, setting up a high performing team and developing subordinates, excellent interpersonal relations, proven integrity and Confidentiality, ability to manage numerous deliverables in a timely and effective manner.

DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Deputy Director Internal Audit for performing the following duties:-
 Planning and monitoring audit resource allocation and utilization in line with the annual audit plan.
 Reviewing audit plans and field work to ensure they are risk based and comply with internal audit Manual and policies.
 Supervising and monitoring progress of audit assignments in line with set standards and procedures.
 Performing special investigations as may be requested in line with the Authorities policies and procedures.
 Preparing Audit reports for review by head of Division before submission to Management in line with set standard.
 Managing staff performance, developing and training staff in line with the policy and audit training needs.
 Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Hand written applications are also acceptable.
Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy. Each Application and Summary form should bear the words PSC EXTERNAL ADVERT 4/2012 on the first page of the form
Applicants are allowed to apply for a maximum of two posts only. Applicants should attach three sets of certified photocopies of their certificates, testimonials and up-to-date CV, plus four recent certified passport size photographs attached to the application and summary form. Failure to comply with any of the above instructions will lead to automatic disqualification.
Applicants who shall not hear from the Public Service Commission on completion of the selection exercise should consider themselves unsuccessful.
