Job Title: Head of Human Resources Reports to: Deputy Managing Director Main Purpose As a key member of the management team, the job holder will be responsible for lading and managing the Human Resource function of the Fund from both an operational and strategic perspective Major Activities of the Job • Responsible for senior level decision making and strategic direction of the Fund. This will include developing HR strategy and workforce planning • Develop, review and implement HR approved policies and procedures in line with the HR best practices • Preparation of hr management information reports to the management and board • Develop initiatives that will ensure a conducive environment for staff motivation and high productivity Qualifications: • A bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, social sciences, or any other related field • Post graduate diploma or a professional qualification in human resource Management Experience: Minimum of 7 years experience with 3 years of HR experience at senior management level in a relatively large organization Competencies: The individual must; • Be able to think creatively and strategically • Have excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills • Planning and organization skills • Excellent people management skills How to Apply: Interested individuals should send their applications with copies of their academic and professional qualifications addressed to the deputy managing Director, P.O Box 7140 Kampala or hand delivered to the head Office, Workers House plot 1, Pilkington Road at the reception 14th floor Deadline: May 18th 2012
