Community Development Specialist Job at Ministry of Water and Environment in Uganda

Job Title: Community Development Specialist
Reports to; National Project Coordinator
Location; Entebbe

Job Description and Person Specifications:

• Spearhead the revision and update the guidelines for the preparation and implementation of natural resource management subprojects and align it with the national strategy
• Support the development of Annual work plans and budgets in the area of implementing community development subprojects
• Contribute to the refining of key indicators for the Community Driven Development component recording and reportng physical progress against work plans and budgets
• work closely with community development/ liaison officers in the ministry of wate and environment and other units of sister projects

Qualification and Experience:

• Must be in possession of Masters Degree in any of the following: sociology, Agricultural/ rural Development, Environment Economics, Developemnt studies, Natural Resources Management, Business Administration

Personal Skills and Abilities:

•  Demonstrable ability to work independently and with teams to achieve project objectives
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft office applications
• Excellent verbal, communication and analytical skills
• Experience in working in a project setting
