Job Title: Project Accountant
Reports to: National Project Coordinator
Location: Entebbe Uganda

Job Description and Person Specifications
The Project Accountant will provide technical backstoppong to the Principal Accountant at the Ministry of Water and Environment in the management and accounting for project funds in line with the international Development Association

Specific Duties:

• Verify and update the accounting application with receipts and payments transactions on a daily basis
• Manage travel advance requests and travel expenditure accounting reports and process the clearing journals into the accounting application
• Consolidating financial reports into quarterly LVEMPII report
• Prepare donor accountability reports as per the financial statements
• ensure proper delegated authorities are followed for all payments

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of commerce or Bachelor of business Administration majoring in accounting or its equivalent together with as a must professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA. Post qualification experience of atleast 5 years in accounting and financial management
• Proven computer literacy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
