Job Title: Environmental, Health and Safety/ Site Services Officer- Grade G

Rwenzori Bottling Company Limited, a leading water bottling company in Uganda and a subsidiary of SABMiller, the second largest brewing group in the world, seeks to recruit a highly motivated, results oriented and dynamic professional for the position of ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY/SITE SERVICES OFFICER – GRADE G.

Purpose of Position

    The Environmental, Health and Safety/ Site Services Officer is responsible for administering the occupational safety, health, fire and dust explosion prevention programmes in accordance with legislation and effectively managing the contractors appointed to maintain a high standard of hygiene, safety, security and the integrity of the site and associated buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

    Apply and administer occupational health, safety and environmental principles
    Ensure compliance with company safety standards and statutory requirements
    Maintain housekeeping and safety standards
    Implement the occupational health, safety and environmental legislation in the workplace
    Manage building maintenance contractors
    Manage site contractors, licenses and permits.
    Manage site security.


    A Degree in an Engineering field
    Must have a minimum of 2 years work experience in EHS/Site services or related field
    Must have a good understanding of OHS legislation
    Excellent organisational and planning skills are essential
    Good communication skills Customer centric disposition
    A good team player
    Ability to think tactically and creatively
    Ability prioritize work in the face of competing demands
