Programme Officer

Job Purpose: To administer the direct and indirect delivery of a portfolio of projects, in collaboration with partners, to meet the British Council’s objectives and targets and partner expectations in Uganda..

Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Duties:

    Administer a portfolio of projects and programmes ensuring successful implementation on time, to specified quality and to budget.
    Maintain project information and ensure that activities are delivered in compliance with corporate standards
    Conduct evaluations of projects and collate data to feed into the monitoring process for consideration in the development of new opportunities and in future project designs
    Using different communication mediums engage with both internal and external audiences to increase visibility of British Council programmes

Requirement:

    Proven Experience in delivering projects and contracts using the project cycle of identification and development, implementation and evaluation and reporting
    Demonstrable experience of engagement with different stakeholders including government, civil society, private companies, international organisations and other
    Excellent oral communications skills to effectively present information, respond to questions.
    Exceptional writing skills to effectively create clear and concise reports and proposal.
    Capacity to work both independently and as a member of a team.
    Qualification in a related discipline.
