Job Title: COMPLIANCE OFFICER/ MULTIMEDIA MONITORING
Reports to: Specialist Content Regulation
Role: To Monitor and ensure compliance by all Multimedia service providers and operators with standards and conditions according to licenses issued.
Key Result Areas
a. Carry out monitoring activities relating to broadcasting line up programmes and multimedia services;
b. Establish standards, procedures and ethics for broadcasting and other multimedia services;
c. Ensure compliance with terms and conditions stated in content service providers license;
d. Carry out inspection of studios and production facilities of content service providers in the country;
e. Organize and develop a register of all licensed broadcasters, content service providers and operators;
f. Coordinate data collection on activities related to audience profile, penetration of broadcasting and multimedia services and investigate cases on poor performance of the content service providers and propose remedial measures for necessary course of action;
g. Conduct and report on content service provider inspections to ensure compliance with legislation, license conditions and broadcasting standards;
h. Assist in development of content service/ multimedia licenses and reviewing license applications; and
i. Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification
· A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mass communication or a closely related field from a recognized Institute or University; and
· Knowledge in computer is a mandatory requirement.
Experience and Knowledge
· A minimum working experience of two (2) years in areas of broadcasting, multimedia and telecommunications;
· Understands and offers a wide experience in maintenance, usage and knowledge of technical broadcast equipment and appreciates the responsibilities interpreting the broadcasting facilities;
· Possesses effective interpersonal skills and not only relates well with his/her colleagues but also with external customers; and
· Demonstrates honesty and willing to work with minimum supervision.
