Job Title: OFFICER/ VIDEO, FILM & CINEMATOGRAPHY
Reports to: Specialist Video Film and Cinematography
Role: To ensure compliance by Film, Video and Cinema Hall operators standards and conditions according to licenses issued
Key Result Areas
a. Ensure compliance to set rules, regulations and standards endorsed for management and operation of Film, Video and Cinema Hall Operators;
b. Monitor operations of Film, Video and Cinematography operators;
c. Liaise with associations and such bodies formed for the purpose of promotion, empowerment and advancement of the Film, Video and Cinema industry;
d. Identify methods of innovation and improvement of the industry in terms of technological advancement, modes of operation and any others with the aim of ensuring good consumer service.
e. Handle issues relating to legislation and regulation of film and video censorship and classification with the aim of ensuring that the right content is sent out to the right consumer as may be set by the Commission;
f. Co-ordinate, in association with the legal department, copyright rights to ensure protection of content and revenues of the industry;
g. Report and update to the Commission on any matters relating to the industry on a quarterly basis and advise accordingly on any developments;
h. Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification
· A Bachelors Degree in Music, Dance and Drama, Mass Communication or in a closely related field such as film and cinematography;
· A master’s degree is an added advantage,
Experience and Knowledge
· A minimum working experience of three (3) years in the film /broadcasting industry;
· Should have good creative and analytical skills to develop and adjust to the changing trends of communication;
· Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;
· Should have ability to maintain a high standard of professionalism and personal values in relation to fellow staff and customers; and
· Should possess high level of integrity and honesty.
