Job Title: Communication Manager

Plan International  is one  of the oldest  and largest children’s  development  organization in  the World. We work in 50 developing countries  across  the world.
Duties
•    Responsible  for providing   strategic and technical  leadership to plans  communication work in Uganda  , ensuring that  Country communication  activities support Plan Uganda’s  Country Strategic Plan, regional and communication  priorities.
•     Plan Uganda is  growing its programs  significantly  and is increasing  investment in advocacy , campaigning , program communications and behavior  change  communications.
•    He will  be responsible  for leading  development of a new communications  Strategy and establishment  and supervision  of a communications  team
Qualifications
•    Masters degree in   communication, public relations  or related field
•    At least  5 years of  relevant experience  in a  dynamic organization
•    In-depth  knowledge  of current  communications  issues and trends , particulary  in the humanitarian  sector
•    Good knowledge of how  the media and  journalists work  nationally
