Job Title: Facilities Manager
Reports to: Chief Human Resource & Administration Officer
Job Purpose:

Applicants must have:
Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering or Finance
Post graduate Diploma in Project Management
Training and expertise in Health and Safety Practice is a requirement
A minimum of four years’ managerial experience & Health &Safety Management
Project management and budgeting skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for budgeting and compliance for the section
Ensure that the Lap Green Group and UTL Health and Safety policies are implemented at all times and raise any concerns regarding their operation, or any other health and safety matter with the appropriate senior line manager
Manage the cleaning contractors and their adherence to their contracts to ensure value for money for the business
Maintain and ensure optimum use of company properties and rented premises & Create, manage and maintain a record of company property countrywide
Liaise with Project Engineers to draw appropriate property maintanance schedules
Contribute to strategic planning for the overall improvement of the condition of the facilities
Assess performance in accordance with the contract specifications and standards, in compliance with the standing orders, financial orders, departmental procedures and contract performance criteria for contracts assigned and for the Company as a whole as required by the CHRAO
Carry out surveys and prepare specifications for full range of survey work, including complex cases and specialist surveys, as allocated by the CHRAO, including assuming responsibility for a range of contracts as assigned
Review the work of contractors report on standard of work, project progress and efficiency and performance and develop budget profiles and monitor commitment/expenditure of contracts to ensure financial control as per programme in complex areas of work throughout the company as assigned by the CHRAO
Respond to requests and inquiries and consul with Authorities and leaseholders on works/proposed works and ensure compliance with statutory procedures, maintain contact with tenants/leaseholders relating to access, progress and quality of work
