JOB PURPOSE: Support the implementation of Invisible Children's LSP activities in a holistic and coherent way to contribute to the achievement of Invisible Children's objectives using the existing policies and program guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
_ Liaise with school authorities, local leaders and beneficiary families in ensuring smooth flow of activity implementation among the affected communities.
_ Lead the LSP mentors in the student's selection process including but not limited to initial assessments and home visits, to ensure that set selection criteria is adhered to and submit shortlist of beneficiaries to the Program Manager for approval and award of scholarships.
_ Support the Program Manager in capacity gap assessment and development of need based training proposals for LSP staff.
_ Compile and submit detailed weekly, monthly and quarterly program reports to the Program Manager.
_ Receive all referrals/requests for support from IC leadership and partners and put them to the Program Managers attention.
_ Support the Program Manager in the project cycle management.
_ Responsible for planning and deployment of mentors for field activities
_ Liaise with relevant departments; Human Resources, Logistics and Finance on matters of LSP Administration.
_ Supervise the process of all students' applications and screening to ensure that Administrative assistants create and manage all students' files using best practices.
_ Help in the maintenance of the mentors-student's ratio; ensuring that the students are assigned to their mentors correctly, and/or redistributed equally in the absence of a mentor.
_ Review all students/beneficiary situational reports for submission to the Program Manager.
_ Oversee the process of compilation of student's fees structures with relevant data from respective schools and institutions and feed the data to the database before requests are sent out for approval.
_ Support the Program Manager in the development of program monitoring tools and undertake day-to-day activity monitoring and support.
_ The incumbent will also support in tracking program changes and ensuring that best practices are documented to ensure replication.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
_ Education: Holders of a Bachelors Degree in social sciences, psychology, education or a related field may apply. A Post Graduate qualification in a management related field is an added advantage.
_ Experience: At least Four (4) years progressive work experience in a similar role for an NGO focusing on community/development work, psychosocial support, Child care, guidance and counselling will be an added advantage.
_ Languages: Fluent in English and working knowledge of Luo.

_ Ability to exercise high levels of integrity and exemplary leadership.
_ Computer proficiency especially in Ms Office packages.
_ Highly organized, self driven and able to balance competing tasks.
_ Strong interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.
_ Ability to ride a motorbike and possession of a valid riding permit is an added advantage.
