Position: Project Facilitator-Youth Project
Location: Tororo,Lira.Uganda

Major Responsibilities /Key result areas
1. Coordinate and participate in mobilization of young people to participate in the programme
2. Prepare budgets, work-plans, and reports and ensure that project budgets are effectively managed
3. Promote resource mobilization initiatives that enhance the performance of young people
4. Participate in information research to support youth programming
5. Work with stakeholders to refine indicators for evaluating the project successes
6. Organize participatory reviews, experience sharing, and planning for a joint assessment of progress on the project activities
7. Prior experience of writing reports for the EC (Financial and Narrative)
8. Ensure efficient utilization and timely accountability of funds allocated to implementing partners
9. Effective integration of project activities with other Plan supported initiatives in the Programme Unit
10. Coordinate with District stakeholders to promote initiatives that promote the empowerment of young people

Essential Competencies and Experience

• A Degree in Economics, Commerce, Business administration, Finance, development studies, entrepreneurship
• At least 4 years experience on livelihood enhancement projects targeting young people
• Solid experience in community mobilization approaches and coordination with government authorities /local authorities
• At least three years prior experience of managing EC grants
• Knowledge of key donor requirements for the EC
• Ability to work effectively with donors and partner organizations
• Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Software
• Experience in report writing, and tracking of project budgets and other resources
