Uganda Coffee Development Authority Careers Job Vacancies

Job Title:  Quality and Regulation Manager.

Duties and responsibilities:
-         To supervise activities of the department to ensure that they are in line with the coffee industry objectives.
-         To implement quality policies and standards in accordance with the Coffee Regulations and International Conventions.
-         To maintain a database on export sales, export loadings and a register of industry players.
-         To produce all industry reports for e.g. daily analysis reports, monthly coffee reports, statutory etc.

Basic function:
To head the Quality and Regulatory Services function.

Qualifications:
-         A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science & R=Technology.
-         A Master’s Degree as an added advantage.
-         At least 6 years related work experience.
-         Must show a clear understanding in Quality Assurance, Regulatory and enforcement aspects.





Job Title:  Strategy and Business Development Manager.

Basic function:
To head the Strategic and Business Development Unit.

Duties and responsibilities:
-         To enforce the implementation of the strategic objectives or goals of UCDA.
-         To coordinate research and avail information to the different stakeholders concerning all the UCDA activities.
-         To link UCDA with Uganda Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development, MAAIF and World Bank on coffee data.
-         To coordinate research on business development in terms of creating new market  opportunities, join ventures, projects etc.

Qualifications:
-         A master’s in Business Administration and or Masters in Economics/Statistics.
-         Qualification in an IT related discipline is an added advantage.
-         At least 5 years minimum work experience in a similar role.
-         Candidate must posses project Management and implementation skills, Monitoring & Evaluation skills, database management skills and IT skills.







Job Title:  Principal Human Resource Manager.

Basic function:
To head the Human Resource Function.

Duties and responsibilities:
-         To coordinate the development of the human resource management policies, procedures and terms and conditions of service and also oversee their implementation.
-         To tender technical advice and support all staff through interpreting and ensuring adherence regulations.
-         Coordinate and manage the performance management systems of UCDA in terms of ensuring compliance with performance appraisals and guide career development of UCDA staff.

Qualifications:
-         Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management with a Post Graduate qualification in Human Resource Management.
-         At leats5 years work experience.
-         Candidates must show possession of people skills, leadership and strategic decision making, abilities in Counseling and arbitration and computer literate.








Job Title:  Senior Procurement Officer.

Basic function:
To head the Procurement Unit.

Duties and responsibilities:
-         To manage all procurement and disposal activities.
-         To support the functioning of the contracts committee by liaising with the Secretary of the contracts committee.
-         Plan and coordinate the procurement and disposal activities of UCDA in liaison with the User Department.
-         Manage bid proposals and pre-qualification submissions and make recommendations on them to the contracts committee.

Qualifications:
-         A Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
-         Membership of CIPS is an added advantage.
-         At least 3 years work experience in a similar role.
-         Applicants must have effective IT and analytical skills and possession of good interpersonal relations.







Job Title:  Administrative Officer

Basic function:
To offer Administrative Services.

Duties and responsibilities:
-         To ensure the effective provision of facilities and logistical support to all the departments.
-         To ensure effective usage and maintenance of the Organisation ‘s assets.
-         To implement and monitor all UCDA’s suppliers, vendors and service providers’ contract agreements related to all administration function.
-         To manage the Stores function.

Qualifications:
-         A Bachelor’s of Business Administration or related discipline.
-         At least 3 years work experience in a similar role.
-         Applicants must be computer literate, possess contracting negotiating, effective communication, Problem solving and Assets Management skills.
