Main Purposes of Post
The post-holder will support the Vice Chancellor with regard to general enquiries, administration, research, drafting of documents, scheduling meetings and coordination with University units.
Person specification
Candidates should have, or be able to demonstrate:

At least a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience of working office environments.
*
The ability to carry out research, synthesise and analyse information, prepare briefing reports and papers, and present the findings.
*
Ability to liaise with the public, external bodies, University staff and students in a personable and friendly manner.
*
Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing growth environment.
Skills, Qualifications and Personal Requirements
*
Proactive approach.
*
Strong written and spoken English language skills.
*
Competency in standard ICT applications including word processing, spreadsheets power point and preferably, some proficiency in desk top publishing.
*
Inter-personal, leadership and people management skills
*
Commitment to quality customer care with the ability to motivate and enthuse staff.

Strong communication and presentation skills.
*
Capable of building up positive relationships with academic and administrative staff
*
Team player.
*
Integrity.
