Job Vacancy at MultiChoice Uganda - Marketing Officer

MultiChoice Uganda provides pay TV subscriber management services for MultiChoice Africa's DStv service within Uganda. By providing world-class entertainment through its well selected bouquet channels, MultiChoice has succeeded in adding value to the pay TV industry and consumers In Uganda. An opportunity has arisen at the company for a dynamic, results oriented individual to take up the position of MARKETING OFFICER. The position reports to the General Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ KEY RESULT AREAS;
• Implement brand building and product marketing strategies through advertising and promotions, merchandising and corporate identity compliance at all points of contact with the customer.
• Carry out the annual marketing planning Identity and tackle critical marketing issues
• Prioritize annual marketing projects in conjunction with the local business and Head Office Schedule annual marketing projects
• Marketing supplier management (e.g. advertising agency, production firms) Marketing budget management Special events
• Market research and internal marketing management information systems Carry out market intelligence activities Internal brand culture development
• Work closely with the public relations officer on publicity and public relations, corporate social investment and the internet site.
• Any other duties may be directed from time to time


Job requirement

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor of Commerce (Upper 2nd) honors degree or the equivalent with specialization in marketing from a recognized University
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments, achieve results and rote model company values
• 3-5 years experience in a dynamic small to medium commercial firm
• Knowledge of local competitor tactics, distribution channels and product offerings
• Knowledge of marketing strategy development and brand equity management
• Thorough knowledge of all product and service offerings
• Knowledge of brand innovation and brand activation
• Communication channel management
• Power of speech and fluency both in oral and written English and any other local language
