We seek qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Party in Gulu, Uganda.

Position Responsibilities:

* Provide overall leadership and supervisory management to the project;
* Serve as the primary liaison with funder;
* Ensure coordination between implementing partners, district health officials, and other relevant stakeholders;
* Prepare and submit technical and financial reports as requested;
* Provide project compliance oversight and quality assurance monitoring to all technical, programmatic, administrative and financial activities;
* Supervise project staff.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience:

* MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field with a minimum of 15 years of relevant program management and supervisory experience on multi-faceted international development programs;
* Experience working in Uganda, especially the North, highly preferred;
* Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with senior government personnel, NGO partners, U.S. and foreign government organizations, and donor partners;
* Comprehensive understanding of the Ugandan context as it relates to health systems strengthening, HIV/AIDS, RH/FP, and other relevant health issues, including maternal health, malaria, and TB;
* Experience working on USAID-funded programs;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to work independently and manage a high volume work flow;
* Relevant computer software skills (including, at a minimum, the standard applications in MS Office).
