Job Title: SUPERVISOR ROAD SURVEYING (1 VACANCY) REF. DSC 15/70/02 SALARY SCALE: UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE-KCCA 6 AGE: 28 YEARS AND ABOVE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelors Degree in Surveying and a minimum of a postgraduate Diploma from a recognized university/awarding institution
Possession of a minimum of a certificate in project management and implementation will be an added advantage.
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in Government or a reputable electrical/mechanical operations organization/Agency three (3) of which should have been gained at senior officer level or Supervisory level.
He/she should have the following Key competences: Ability to work as part of a team and to develop subordinates; excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills; ability to work and produce accurate results in an environment with multiple and challenging tasks; and high level of integrity.
DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Manager Road Construction & Maintenance for performing the following duties:-
? Supervising the demarcation of road reserves and ensuring non encroachment.
? Drafting procurement requisition to outsource surveying services.
? Supervising the quality control of road highway surveys, drainage studies, right of way surveys, mapping and monument/ survey beacon preservation and perpetration.

? Coordinating surveying, mapping and right of way activities with other Directorates as well as agencies carrying out activities within the vicinity of right of way.
? Contributing to KCCA’s operational Manuals and Guidelines as and when necessary.
? Coordinating the KCCA’s engineering and Technical Services design teams to assess project related surveying standards and requirements and establishing survey procedures, in accordance to the time frames.
? Coordinating with other Government agencies, Land Surveyors, professional Engineers, land owners, developers and representatives of other Agencies and organizations on matters regarding surveying regulations, policies and technical data.
? Preparing and submitting regular and ad hoc reports for the Deputy Director Roads as required.
? Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
