Duty Station:  BBUC Kabale

Qualifications and experience

1.    A Masters degree in Journalism/Mass Communication

2.    A good first degree with at least Upper Second (2.1)

3.    At least two years' experience teaching broadcasting at a tertiary institution

OR

4.    Experience  as a practicing broadcast journalist/editor/producer  with a reputable media organization specializing in audio;

5.    Evidence of audio/visual production in reputable media outlets.

6.    At least two references.

7.    Mature Christian commitment.

Main duties and Responsibilities

1.    To conduct lectures and practicals in audio-editing and design;

2.    To support the department in the establishment of audio/visual studios;

3.    To assist students and staff in transitioning from single to multi-platform media practice;

4.    To set and mark examinations in the above areas;

5.    To supervise students' research, internship and project work; and

6.    To participate in such other activities as contribute to the smooth running of the Department and development of staff and students as assigned by the Head of Department.
