Job Title: INFORMATION & COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY MANAGER (ICT)
The position holder will develop, implement, manage , maintain and evaluate the Company’s Information Technology Systems and resources in line with the company’s objectives
Key Responsibilities will include;
Formulate, implement and monitor all IT policies, standards and procedures of the Company.
Identify the company’s short term as well as long term computerisation needs in liaison with management and users.
Identify and document customisation and system change requests on AIMS and implement solutions or liaise with system vendors for problems.
Update and generate reports from AIMS and other systems installed in the Company as per user requests.
Coordinate development of new systems by identifying new systems requirements and ensuring proper analysis, design, implementation and documentation of the systems.
Plan and coordinate training of users on computer systems, policies and procedures.
Maintain and administer the UNIX and Windows severs and any other servers installed on the corporate network and ensure they are tuned for optimal performance.
Manage the Company’s website, e-mail systems, voice communication systems, internet services as well as the local and wide area networks.
Plan for the acquisition and upgrade of computer systems, prepare specifications to be used in the procurement of computer products and services, and ensure that computing equipment and services supplied meet the required specifications
Develop and implement procedures for backups and disaster recovery to ensure high level of systems resilience.
Develop and implement system security procedures and ensure that data and IT infrastructure is secured against viruses. Malware and unauthorised access.
Ensure that all scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment is done.
Ensure that an inventory of all computing equipment, software and documentation are properly maintained.
Manage staff in the MIS department and carry out staff appraisals, counselling and mentoring
Perform any other duties as may be requested by management.
Academic & Professional qualifications
Computer Science Degree or equivalent
MCSE and or other professional IT courses
AIMS Training
Awareness of IT trends and opportunities
Minimum years of experience required for the job
3-5 years
