Legal Officer Job at Uganda Development Bank

Job Title: Principal  Legal Officer
Uganda Development Bank  would like to employ  suitable qualified applicants  to fill the above position .
Responsibilities
•    Advising  on Agreements ,Contracts including  drawing and  reviewing  legal  instruments  to which  the Bank  is a party.
•    Researching  on and monitoring  amendments to existing  legislation  and the passing  of  new  legislation and advising  on their implications to the Bank.
•    Providing  legal  advice  as and when  shall be  required on  various matters  arising  out of the  day-to-day  operations of  Bank.
•    From time to time carry out searches  and other forms of legal due diligence at various registries  including  lands and companies  registries.
•    Handling debt recovery  in liaison  with receivers, autoconers, external legal council e.t.c.

Qualifications
•    An  Honors Degree  in Law  plus  a Post Graduate Diploma in Law

Experience
•    A minimum  of 5 years cognate experience  in a financial  institution ; Required Skill;
•    Analytical  skills
•    Good presentation skills
•    Passion/Self motivation
