POSITION TITLE: Financial Analyst
POSITION LOCATION: USAID, FMO OFFICE
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week
POSITION GRADE: FSN-11 (Ugshs.67,623,871 to 97,517,009 p.a. inclusive of allowances).
USAID/Uganda is seeking for a qualified Ugandan for the position of Financial Analyst.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Responsible for the full range of financial analysis and accounting services, and is the Controller’s principal Financial Management representative providing financial expertise and advice for all program activities in the assigned portfolio. She/he is responsible for providing guidance and capacity building relative to financial, administrative and managerial matters impacting USAID activities relevant to implementing partners of the GOU, local, international and U.S. based organizations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
1. Education Required: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other related field is required.
2. Work Experience: A minimum of three years experience of progressively greater responsibility in professional accounting and auditing is required. Experience with a local CPA firm is preferred.
3. Language Requirement: Must be fluent in English.
4. Knowledge: A thorough knowledge of professional accounting principles, theories, practices and terminology.
5. Skills and Abilities: This position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to plan and provide analytical support for USAID/Uganda in a timely and effective manner. Computer literacy (Excel, Word, etc.) is required.
