Job title: Legal Metrologist
(Salary Scale UNBS 6)
Reporting to the Heads of Section. the Legal Metrologist will be responsible for assisting in development of policy, procedures and other guidelines for the execution of legal metrology; monitor continuously application of policy, procedures and general members of the public on matters of weights and work plans to the Manager, Legal Metrology; check validity of the weights, and to ascertain that the instruments/equipment read accurate values and are not in whatever way, false field; conduct as scheduled, inspections in shops and other places being sold are packed in accurate values; and perform any duties assigned from time to time by the supervising officer

Qualifications and other requirements
• A good University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Physics from a recognized University/institution
• Must be computer literate with skills in MS Word. Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet applications. :
• Minimum of 2 years experience at graduate level.

The successful candidate needs to be a team player, an excellent communicator with good oral communication and presentation skills
