Nile Breweries Limited is a leading beverage company in Uganda, also recognized as the best employer
in Uganda in 2004, 2005 and 2009, and a subsidiary of SABMiller (one of the largest brewing groups in the world). The company seeks to recruit a highly motivated, results oriented professional to fi ll the position of Production Materials Manager with the Procurement department.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess and plan for usage rates and lead times from the Materials Buyer of production materials
• Material requirements planning based on available production plans
• Advising the materials Buyer on the requirements and delivery dates- based on the lead time that the
Buyer will provide
• Receiving all production materials on time as ordered by the Materials Buyer.
• Ensuring expeditious Quality checks from QA and prompt and correct GRN preparation and
submission to Finance for supplier payment
• Plan proper and adequate storage and ensure professional storage of all materials.
• Carry out periodic stock taking and explicitly explain any variances, promptly obtaining relevant
approvals for stock adjustments, including write offs if any.
• Maintain the stores in a clean organized manner with all the records and information readily
• Ensure 100% service level to all internal customers i.e. Packaging, Brewing and Quality Assurance. No
down time due unavailability of any materials.

Minimum Qualifi cations
• An Honors Bachelors Degree in either Procurement or logistics/Business Statistics or Commerce
(management option with Procurement as a subject) from a recognized University/Institute
• Post Graduate qualifi cation In Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a recognized
• Minimum of 2 years experience in supply Chain Management specifi cally Materials management in
• Extensive knowledge in supply chain and materials Management
• High integrity and attention to detail
• High energy, balanced personality self discipline and drive, conceptualizing and innovative thinking,
goal orientation and a strong output bias.
