Job Title: Director, Finance and Administration

Key Results Areas:

-         Develop and implement financial systems, policies and procedures that ensure adequate controls are in place in order to maintain proper books of accounts and safeguard the assets of NFA.

-         Prepare annual accounts within the stipulated deadlines in accordance with National Forestry and Tree Planting Act, Government of Uganda Financial Regulations and international Financial Reporting Standards.

-         Monitor financial performance on a regular basis and report to management and the Board in a timely manner.

-         Ensure that financial resources are adequate to meet NFA’s commitments and submit financial reports.



Qualifications:

-         A Honours degree in either Commerce, Accounting or Finances from a reputable university.

-         A fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CPA)



Work experience, knowledge, skills and personal attributes:

-         At least 5 years experience in a commercially oriented environment at senior management level.

-         Computer literate and conversant with some of the major accountancy software packages.

-         Must be a team player, an excellent communicator with good oral and written communication as well as presentation skills.



Age:  At least 35 years of age.
